One of her many vet visits. Not a fun time for her.
Today my heart aches. My little Madison has crossed over to the Rainbow Bridge. Madison has been with me for six years; she was a puppy mill mom that was rescued with her sister Sophie.
Four years ago, Madison was diagnosed with encephalitis (a swelling of the brain), and was given about six months to live. We put her on medical treatment, changed her diet and tried to give her the best doggie life possible - long walks, dog parks, beach trips, and more and she managed to live for four and a half years with this horrible disease.
Unfortunately, she was diagnosed with cancer about three months ago – her fragile body could no longer take the pain and all the medication. She died peacefully, while I held her and told her that papa was going to miss her and that she was a great dog.
I will miss my little girl. Her sisters Amy, Sophie and Brother Bruno will miss her too!
Be at peace now my little one – no more pain and no more monsters to hurt you ever again!
