I am so sorry for your loss of Cookie, I know the pain you are going threw and also know the feeling of having to make the decision of no longer making your cookie suffering. We just lost our Hunter on April 25th we also had to make the hardest choice in the whole world. My heart is broken, but I do feel better our dog is no longer suffering. Try to think of all the happy memories that cookie has brought you. Your in our thoughts and Prayers

My heart aches for you as I read you tribute to Cookie. I am so sorry that she became ill, but thankful that you were there with her to send her on her way to the Rainbow Bridge. I can totally relate to your experience, we had to let our precious dog Boomer go on Feb. 19 due to kidney failure. It was the hardest thing we had to do, but we know now that it was a gift to give him so he would suffer no more. I know that my Boomer greeted Cookie at the Rainbow Bridge and they now run and play and are healthy again. If you want to see my Boomer, check him out at Boomer's Memorial
The pain and emptiness you are going through now is just part of this horrible process that we go through when we lose a baby that means so much to us. I thought I would not make it, but each day I decided to try to celebrate Boomer's life and remember the great times, and I feel so lucky to have had Boomer in my life, as I know you felt about Cookie. May the memories of Cookie give you strength to go on and give you smiles when you think of her. She is in a wonderful place and she will also always be in your hearts forever.
